چکیده
We report the discovery and validation of four extrasolar planets hosted by nearby, bright, Sun-like (G3V) star HD~108236 using data from Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS). present transit photometry, reconnaissance precise Doppler spectroscopy as well high-resolution imaging, to validate planetary nature objects transiting HD~108236, also known TESS Object Interest (TOI) 1233. The innermost planet is a possibly-rocky super-Earth with period $3.79523_{-0.00044}^{+0.00047}$ days has radius $1.586\pm0.098$ $R_\oplus$. outer are sub-Neptunes, potential gaseous envelopes, having radii $2.068_{-0.091}^{+0.10}$ $R_\oplus$, $2.72\pm0.11$ $3.12_{-0.12}^{+0.13}$ $R_\oplus$ periods $6.20370_{-0.00052}^{+0.00064}$ days, $14.17555_{-0.0011}^{+0.00099}$ $19.5917_{-0.0020}^{+0.0022}$ respectively. With V K$_{\rm s}$ magnitudes 9.2 7.6, respectively, bright host makes favorable targets for mass measurements and, potentially, atmospheric characterization via transmission spectroscopy. brightest in visual (V) band or more exoplanets. discovered span broad range equilibrium temperatures, share common history insolation ($R_\star = 0.888 \pm 0.017$ R$_\odot$, $T_{\rm eff} 5730 50$ K), making HD 108236 an exciting, opportune cosmic laboratory testing models formation evolution.

The HD 40307 Planetary System: Super-Earths or Mini-Neptunes?
Three planets with minimum masses less than 10 M⊕ orbit the star HD 40307, suggesting these planets may be rocky. However, with only radial velocity data, it is impossible to determine if these planets are rocky or gaseous. Here we exploit various dynamical features of the system in order to assess the physical properties of the planets. Observations allow for circular orbits, but a numerical i...
متن کاملProperties of an Earth-like planet orbiting a Sun-like star: Earth observed by the EPOXI mission.
NASA's EPOXI mission observed the disc-integrated Earth and Moon to test techniques for reconnoitering extrasolar terrestrial planets, using the Deep Impact flyby spacecraft to observe Earth at the beginning and end of Northern Hemisphere spring, 2008, from a range of ∼1/6 to 1/3 AU. These observations furnish high-precision and high-cadence empirical photometry and spectroscopy of Earth, suita...
متن کاملHD 147506b: A SUPER-MASSIVE PLANET IN AN ECCENTRIC ORBIT TRANSITING A BRIGHT STAR
We report the discovery of a massive (Mp = 9.04±0.50MJup) planet transiting the bright (V = 8.7) F8 star HD 147506, with an orbital period of 5.63341±0.00013 days and an eccentricity of e = 0.520± 0.010. From the transit light curve we determine that the radius of the planet is Rp = 0.982± 0.105RJup. HD 147506b (also coined HAT-P-2b) has a mass about 9 times the average mass of previously-known...
متن کاملA limit on the presence of Earth-mass planets around a Sun-like star
We present a combined analysis of all publicly available, visible HST observations of transits of the planet HD 209458b. We derive the times of transit, planet radius, inclination, period, and ephemeris. The transit times are then used to constrain the existence of secondary planets in the system. We show that planets near an Earth mass can be ruled out in low-order mean-motion resonance, while...
متن کاملHd 98618: a Star Closely Resembling Our Sun
Despite the observational effort carried out in the last few decades, no perfect solar twin has been found to date. An important milestone was achieved a decade ago by Porto de Mello & da Silva, who showed that 18 Sco is almost a solar twin. In the present work, we use extremely high resolution (R = 10) high S/N Keck HIRES spectra to carry out a differential analysis of 16 solar twin candidates...
